YARN
Yarn A: Onyx Fiber Arts Sock (fingering / 4-ply weight; 75% superwash Merino, 25% nylon; 423 m / 463 yds per 100 g skein)
Shade: Sofia; 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins
Yarn B: Onyx Fiber Arts Mohair Silk (lace weight; 72% kid mohair, 28% silk; 419 m / 459 yds per 50 g skein) Shade: Sofia; 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins
Yarn A and Yarn B are held together throughout
Approximately 1610 (1765, 1950, 2020, 2240, 2490, 2740, 2850) yards / 1470 (1615, 1785, 1845, 2050, 2275, 2505, 2605) meters each of fingering and lace weight yarn, or of sport weight yarn, if working with a single strand
GAUGE
28 sts & 35 rows = 10 cm / 4” over cable pattern on 3.5 mm needles, with yarn A and B held together, after blocking.
24 sts & 36 rows = 10 cm / 4” over garter stitch on 3.5 mm needles, with yarn A and B held together, after block-ing.
26-st repeat from Chart A to measure 9.5 cm / 3¾” wide after blocking.

Ribbing Needles: 3.25 mm / US 3 circular needle, 80 cm / 32”
Main Body Needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle, 80 cm / 32”
Collar Needles: 3.25 mm / US 3 circular needle, 40 cm / 16”
Cast Off Needles: 2.75 mm / US 2 circular needle, 40 cm/ 16”

NOTES:
Sweater is worked flat in pieces but you may find using a circular needle helpful to accommodate the number of stitches.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Saltings is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up, using a strand each of yarn A and B held together throughout.
Armholes and sleeves are a modified drop shoulder construction with a slightly dropped shoulder and a short, wide sleeve cap.
Three sets of cables at the centre front and back are placed on hold during neck shaping and continued into the collar interspersed by sections of 2x2 rib.
